This road map will be reviewed on an ongoing basis to improve the accessibility of East Sussex in Figures.
These are some of the steps we have taken to tackle the accessibility issues and our future developments:
Seek support from the ESCC web team to identify resources available to create accessible web content - October 2020
Ongoing: ESCC web team are assisting in the process and ESiF staff have now all received training in how to meet accessibility standards.
Review road map - December 2020
A detailed review took place and ESiF was checked using 'Wave'. A number of issues have been addressed and other issues are in hand such as adding header and language setting globally.
Explore installing web-based mapping system to replace PDF maps in the Published map section - November 2020 - March 2021
Investigations are still underway.
Review scope of East Sussex in Figures - November 2020 - March 2021
A detailed review has taken place and those issues which could be addressed in the existing system have now been improved.
Redesign East Sussex in Figures - April 2021 – September 2021
Review contract for current content generator - Before October 2021
Review road map – December 2023
Detailed work is now ongoing to find a fully accessible replacement for ESiF, which should be in place by early 2024.
