Population estimates

The mid-year population estimates are produced annually by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) for every local authority and health area in England & Wales. They include detailed components of change – births, deaths and migration.

Future population

Population projections provide an indication of the future size and age structure of the population. These projections are based on the latest mid-year population estimates  They also use a set of assumptions of future fertility, mortality and migration. They are dwelling–led demographic projections based on planned housing figures provided by the districts and boroughs.

You can download a workbook with detailed results of the ESCC population projections from ESiF.
