The survey provides the largest sample size ever established for a sport and recreation survey and allows levels of detailed analysis previously unavailable. It identifies how participation varies from place to place and between different groups in the population. Active Sussex have taken the Active People Survey data published and produced snapshots for each local authority in Sussex. In East Sussex the average sample size was around 500 for each District/Borough.
